Intercessory Prayer

This is a part of the ministry of Jesus through His body the Church and is regarded as an essential undergirding of the life and group activities at Christ Church.

• We have an effective Prayer Chain with telephone and email links between around 70 church members. The prayer chain  is used to respond to emergency situations.
• We have a monthly prayer diary with a daily prayer focus on group activities linked to our church diary and wider across the town praying for other Christian Churches and activities and prayer cards geared towards specific work places
• We hold occasional half nights of prayer and regular prayer meetings at other times.
• We offer prayer ministry at our main morning and evening services

to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. (2 Corinthians.4:7)

The team, under the Vicar's authority, is committed both to this healing ministry and to seeing that as individuals we continue to grow in maturity in Christ. To ensure that agreed guidelines and values are being adhered to the team is divided into monthly accountability groups. Please be assured that confidentiality is an essential practice of this ministry. Team meetings for review, teaching, worship and reminders of core values happen termly. Team members are also encouraged to go to outside training events. New members first minister alongside more experienced members.
